 Welcome

Dreaming of life in the country?  Already living your country dream?

Whether you are interested in having a hobby farm and surrounding yourself with chickens, goats and cows, running a charming bed & breakfast, growing giant pumpkins and prize-winning tomatoes or just enjoying life in the country...

...this is the place to get inspired, share ideas, find resources and enjoy living the good life.

Dealing With a Cold (Yuck) - It happens to all of us sooner or later.  No matter how careful we are, how strong we are, or how healthy we are - we get a nasty cold.  Hopefully, it is a rare occurence in our lives and only amounts to us having a week where we are uncomfortable, grumpy and not able to work or play at the level that we usually do.  See more of the January/February Newsletter

On the farm Spring will be here before we know it.  Corn, soybean, barley & alfalfa seed has been ordered to plant as soon as the ground is ready.  Some of the baby goats that were born in December will be sold soon.

NOTES

Don't forget to refill your bird feeders.

Tip of the Week:  Save your countertops.  Always use cutting boards.  Use different cutting boards for preparing vegetables and meat.  Plastic or acrylic boards may be easier to clean - they don't absorb juices and are dishwasher safe.

Make a pot of soup or stew on a chilly day.  It will make your kitchen feel cozy as it cooks and it will warm you from the inside out.
